Business insurance
Commercial insurance for Las Vegas businesses
Whether you run a restaurant on Lake Mead, a construction crew in Henderson, or a consulting practice from your home office, the right business insurance protects you from lawsuits, property damage, employee injuries, and the unexpected events that can shut a company down overnight.
Coverage we place for businesses
General liability (GL)
General liability is the foundation of any commercial insurance program. It protects your business against claims of bodily injury, property damage, and advertising injury caused by your operations, products, or premises. If a customer slips in your store, if your work damages a client's property, or if you're sued over a marketing claim — GL covers the defense costs and any judgment or settlement.
Commercial property
This covers the physical assets your business owns or leases — your building (if you own it), equipment, inventory, furniture, and signage. Coverage applies to fire, theft, vandalism, and other covered perils. Business income coverage (also called business interruption) can be added to replace lost revenue while your operations are shut down for repairs.
Workers compensation
Nevada law requires most employers to carry workers comp insurance. It pays for medical treatment, rehabilitation, and a portion of lost wages when an employee is injured on the job. It also protects you from lawsuits by injured employees. Even if you're a sole proprietor with no employees, workers comp may be required by the companies you contract with.
Commercial auto
If your business owns vehicles, or if employees drive their personal cars for work purposes, you need commercial auto coverage. Personal auto policies typically exclude business use — so a delivery driver, a field technician, or an employee running errands in their own car may not be covered under their personal policy if they're on the clock.
Business Owner's Policy (BOP)
A BOP bundles general liability and commercial property into a single policy, often at a lower cost than buying each separately. It's designed for small to mid-sized businesses and typically includes business income coverage as well. We recommend BOPs for retail shops, offices, restaurants, and service businesses that don't need highly customized coverage.
